Anne Wicker, BA ‘83
Office Assistant, Alumni Relations

A 1983 graduate, Anne is back as an alumna in every sense of the word. She is a second generation Loyolan, married to a Loyola graduate, and the mother of four Jesuit-educated sons. Whether in Hyde Park, Evanston, or Lincoln Square, Anne loves to catch up with friends (or college classmates!) over meals or at art events. She particularly appreciates ethnic restaurants, used bookstores, and old architecture.

Evelina Ayrapetyan, MEd '13

Evelina was born in Yerevan, Armenia and split her childhood between Armenia and Los Angeles, California. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication and sport management at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2006. Soon after, Evelina moved to Barcelona, Spain to travel, and teach English as a second language. Evelina moved to Chicago in 2010 to pursue her master’s degree in higher education at Loyola after working for a TRIO program at Mount St. Mary’s College in LA. Most recently, Evelina served as the Associate Director of Development for the Colleges of Education and Social Work at UIC where she successfully coordinated alumni and donor events that increased alumni engagement, provided opportunities for professional development and intellectual stimulation, and raised money for student scholarships. When not at work, Evelina enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, walking all over the city, working out, and marathon ‘Netflixing” when it’s too cold to go outside. 

Dana Almdale

Dana was raised in Barrington, IL, a northwest suburb of Chicago. She graduated with a public relations degree from Illinois State University and played Division I women's soccer. Prior to Loyola, she started her career at leading global PR agency, Weber Shandwick, in corporate PR on the crisis communications and issues management team. Most recently, Dana worked in development for a Chicago non-profit managing the organization's corporate portfolio, donor stewardship efforts and fundraising initiatives. In her free time, Dana enjoys traveling, being active by running outside on the lakefront and doing hot yoga, and cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks.

Laura Colon Baker, BASC ‘08

Laura grew up outside out Atlanta, GA and moved to Chicago in 2004 to attend Loyola. She majored in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Marketing and graduated in 2008. During her time at Loyola, Laura worked as a Student Ambassador for Undergraduates Admissions and as a building manager for the Student Union. After graduation, she served on the Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Board for four years while working in the online marketing world. She began working for Loyola in the Advancement division in 2012 with the major gifts team prior to transitioning into Alumni Relations in 2015. When she is not reconnecting with alumni, she likes to attend Ramblers basketball games, try new restaurants, and spend time with her husband--whom she married at Madonna della Strada chapel in 2014!
Jocelyn D. Cheng, BS ‘94

Jocelyn graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Psychology. As a student, she enjoyed academic life and volunteer service projects for the university and communities. After graduation, Jocelyn honed her volunteer and intern program management, event planning, marketing and communication skills at Chicago nonprofit organizations. While working, she earned an MBA degree from Saint Xavier University.  She is humbled to be part of the Loyola team where she can apply her skills and passion towards the fulfillment of the Ignatian values and mission. Jocelyn stays connected with relatives and childhood friends from the Philippines, serves as a lector and minister at St. Michael in Old Town Catholic Church, volunteers with her husband through the We Band Together music group, and enjoys learning about cultures through traveling and trying new restaurants.

Nicholas Ramirez, TBC '13, BASC '14

Nicholas was born and raised in Sacramento, California and moved to Chicago in 2010 to attend Loyola. He attended the Beijing Center for Chinese Studies in spring 2013 and graduated in May 2014 from Loyola’s School of Communication with a degree in advertising and public relations. During his time as a student, Nick worked in the Office of First-Year Experience as an orientation leader and, most recently, as program coordinator for the Summer Scholars program. He is also a Cristo Rey Scholar and was deeply involved in the development of the Cristo Rey Scholars Program at Loyola. When not connecting with alumni, Nicholas enjoys exploring Chicago’s many neighborhoods and trying all the great restaurants the city has to offer.

Olivia graduated from St. Norbert College where she studied Sociology Human Services and minored in Peace and Justice. She worked in the college's Admissions Office where she discovered her passion for higher education! Her volunteer work includes St. Norbert Service to St. Benedict the African and St. Jude Cancer fundraising. When she's not spending time catching up with the latest celebrity dish, she loves to read and take her dogs Lucy and Annie to the park.

A native Chicagoan and first-generation student, Leticia grew up in Pilsen, a Mexican American neighborhood on the near-west side. After graduating from St. Ignatius College Prep, she continued her education at Loyola University Chicago where she majored in Sociology. Upon earning her degree, Leticia began her career at Loyola while working in the Financial Aid Office and eventually found her passion for higher education in the Office of Undergraduate Admission where she recruited students from across the country and overseas. Most recently, she served as Associate Director of International Admission and spearheaded the University's efforts to increase international student enrollment on the graduate and undergraduate level. Along with her husband Michael, who is also a graduate of Loyola, Leticia enjoys to travel, explore, and eat. Throughout her career she has had opportunity to visit over 25 countries in 6 different continents but never forgets the rich culture available right here in her favorite city, Chicago.


Patrick Dorsey, S.J.
Alumni Chaplain

Fr. Patrick Dorsey, SJ came to Loyola University Chicago in 2007 and worked in Campus Ministry as Director of Sacramental Life overseeing Madonna della Strada Chapel until 2013.  For the past three years, Fr. Dorsey has worked in the Office of Advancement at Loyola and is moving from the VP’s Office to Alumni Relations where he will work as chaplain to alumni.  His office will be in Alumni House and his duties will vary while serving the alumni community.  He will steward donors in maintaining a heart-felt relationship with the university.  Fr. Dorsey also will attend board meetings for the National Alumni, G.O.L.D. Alumni, Latino Alumni and Black Alumni.  He will continue to help coordinate the acknowledgement of alums who have died and work with alums who plan to get married at Madonna della Strada Chapel. 

Fr. Dorsey is familiar with the Chicago area because he grew up in Evanston, IL. and happy to be around family.   Much like his previous assignment at Marquette University, Fr. Dorsey lives in a dorm on campus (San Francisco Hall) where he is able to welcome students into his apartment for a meal. 

Fr. Dorsey earned a B.A. Ed. and taught grade school for ten years before entering the Jesuits.  During his years of training as a Jesuit, he studied at the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, CA where he earned an M. Div. and a  Th. M.  He was ordained in 1996.
